About The Position

Performs diversified dishwashing activities to help ensure residents and guests receive a pleasant and sanitary meal experience. The role also supports food preparation, kitchen cleaning and stocking, inventory, and dining room setup. The employee must wear appropriate attire while on duty and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability and willingness to provide friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with other team members.
Able to stand for one to two hour periods to prepare and serve food.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
Frequently immerse hands in water.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or GED preferred.
Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Stack, rinse, and load dirty dishes into the dishwasher; scrub pots and pans until clean and store them as assigned.
Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
Clean and sanitize counters, kitchen appliances, stoves, and refrigerators; mop and sweep floors to meet DHEC standards.
Remove trash from kitchen receptacles and dispose of it in the on-site commercial garbage compactor.
Clean and prepare foods for cooking or serving as directed, including making teas and assisting with short orders.
Help stock grocery deliveries and take inventory of kitchen stocks as assigned.
Wear proper attire while on duty, including hair nets, uniforms, and gloves.
Provide dining room assistance, including changing tablecloths and setting up tables as assigned.
Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
