About The Position

The Dishwasher Busser works in a restaurant dishwashing and table-bussing role. Duties include sorting, rinsing, washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes and utensils; cleaning the dish machine and dish-area floors; and disposing of trash. The role also prepares tables for new guests, assists servers with drink refills and food trays, maintains cleanliness in the front and back of the house, and performs other assigned duties. This is a part-time position at 17 West, an American bistro in New Bremen, Ohio.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years of related experience.
• Less than a high school diploma.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand for 8 hours per 8-hour shift.
• Able to meet the stated lifting, grasping, bending, climbing, reaching, and other physical demands of the job.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; work-authorization sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, and load them into dish racks for the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and transport them to storage areas.
• Hand-wash dishes, pots, and pans as needed, following the correct wash, rinse, and sanitize order.
• Clean the dish machine according to the proper procedure.
• Sweep and mop storage and dish-area floors during the shift.
• Dispose of trash in the dumpster.
• Prepare vacated tables for new guests by removing dirty dishes, sanitizing tables, cleaning seats, sweeping or vacuuming nearby floors as needed, and resetting tables.
• Assist servers with guest drink refills and delivery of food trays.
• Empty trash containers, refill ice bins, carry bus tubs to the dish tank, and perform general cleaning chores.
• Maintain cleanliness in the front and back of the house.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
