About The Position

The Dish Machine Operator (DMO) maintains dish-washer operations in the outlet. The role operates a dishwasher and other cleaning equipment safely and follows health-code guidelines for drying and storing dishes. The DMO may also support departmental cleaning projects, organize materials, prepare equipment, and help transport materials throughout the department. Work schedules vary according to business needs and may require availability at night, on weekends, or on holidays. This is a temporary, onsite position based in Ithaca, New York.

Requirements

• Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
• Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to walk and stand for 100% of the time.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling.
