About The Position

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field. Experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) card through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required to start
• One year of related work experience in the mental health field strongly that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities
• Must join the SEIU Union within thirty (30) calendar days of employment and remain a member in good standing of the Union, unless you submit and are approved for a religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patient and interdisciplinary team to develop a treatment plan.
• Assess and screen patients for resource eligibility and schedule post-discharge appointments.
• Assist in obtaining pre-authorizations/pre-certifications, insurance eligibility and authorizations for medications, hospital stay, community needs as needed to support the patient during hospitalization and upon discharge.
• Attend treatment team daily and coordinate the patient care with other interdisciplinary treatment team members.
• Communicate effectively with treatment team members and others regarding patient needs, and current issues.
• Assist patients with transportation needs, if needed, for discharge after vetting out any potential options.
• Support patient through their hospital stay through weekly outreach to identified outpatient supports regarding discharge-related planning and updates.
• Identify resources available to meet patient needs after discharge.
• Facilitate group education for patients regarding how to access community resources after discharge.
• Assist in monitoring and directing the milieu as requested by treatment team members.

Benefits

• Hourly: $27.59 – $44.91 depending on experience on union scale
• 403B with discretionary match for those that participate in the plan and meet work requirements
• Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
