About The Position
ChristianaCare, a nonprofit health system, is hiring a casual/part-time DISC Support Coordinator for its Imaging Department. The role supports imaging operations in an acute hospital setting and involves coordinating imaging studies and records, handling calls, and assisting providers and patients. The position works the evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage as required. 24/7 departmental coverage is required, including weekday and weekend coverage, and employees must be available for a backup list for emergent staffing needs.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years of related medical office experience.
Responsibilities
- Answer and route calls in a busy imaging department and/or office.
- Obtain and upload outside imaging studies for radiologist comparison.
- Burn CDs and print patients’ medical imaging records.
- Connect and resolve outside images sent to the PACS system for providers.
- Operate computer systems and office equipment safely.
- Interact courteously and professionally with patients, family members, physicians, and staff.
- Comply with Joint Commission regulations for critical results communication and other regulated results documentation.
- Provide weekday and weekend coverage, including every other weekend and holidays as required, and participate in the backup list for emergent staffing needs.
- Perform other related duties as required.
