About The Position

SERVPRO Team Carpenter is expanding its Fire & Water Division and is seeking experienced, dependable technicians. This is not an entry-level role; we are looking for professionals who understand the entire mitigation project lifecycle, including job flow, equipment operation, documentation, and customer service. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, acts with urgency, and can work independently without constant supervision. The company emphasizes clear expectations, organized processes, and high standards, offering year-round work in a recession-resistant industry.

Requirements

  • Restoration experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, in crawlspaces, and other confined areas.
  • Willingness to work in wet, dirty, physically demanding environments.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Abatement experience is a major advantage.
  • Mold, asbestos, or lead abatement experience is highly preferred and considered a significant asset.
  • Understanding of drying principles, psychrometry, equipment setup, and job flow.
  • IICRC certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain them).
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a high-performing team.
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency.
  • Professional communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to residential and commercial fire and water losses while performing mitigation work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Set up containment, drying systems, air movers, dehumidifiers, and other mitigation equipment.
  • Perform water extraction, demolition, debris removal, and structural drying.
  • Navigate attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and other confined work areas.
  • Follow IICRC standards, PPE requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Document work with detailed notes, photos, moisture readings, and daily updates.
  • Maintain organized vehicles, equipment, and clean job sites.
  • Deliver excellent customer service during stressful situations.
