About The Position
This is a full-time, temporary position for approximately 9 months. The Disaster Recovery Case Manager provides case management for disaster survivors. This may include local travel to meet clients' material needs, resource procurement, and referral to outside agencies.
Requirements
- BSW required
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse cultures
Nice To Haves
- One year of related work experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform intake and assessments to determine eligibility and needs of disaster survivors.
- Create individualized disaster recovery plans to restore clients to their previous level of functioning and monitor progress toward goals.
- Inform and connect clients with emerging resources, resolve system impediments, and provide referrals to other disaster and non-disaster services.
