Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) designation with Occupational Health Certification is preferred; or Degree in Health Sciences, Disability Management, Rehabilitation, Occupational Health, Human Resources, Kinesiology, or a related field may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years experience in disability management, return-to-work coordination, claims management, occupational health, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex disability and accommodation cases involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of disability management principles, workplace accommodation practices, and return-to-work programs.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation legislation and claims processes.
  • Familiarity with applicable employment, human rights, privacy, and occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent case management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • High initiative, a personal working style that is flexible and responsive to client needs.
  • Proficiency with case management systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Further education or certification in Disability Management, Return-to-Work Coordination, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Prior work in Cority and HR systems is an asset.
