About The Position

This role is for a Hybrid Disability Case Manager in Sun Life's Group Disability team, supporting Canadians in their pursuit of better health and sustainable recovery. The position requires an empathetic, analytical, and strategic thinker, ideally with frontline healthcare experience, to blend clinical insight, data-driven decision-making, and human connection. The role involves assessing and managing disability claims, leading recovery planning, applying crisis intervention and rehabilitation techniques, using data analytics for decision-making, building relationships with clients and providers, and communicating with empathy and clarity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Kinesiology or Business
3+ years of professional experience in disability case management

Responsibilities

Assess and manage disability claims (short-term, long-term, and salary continuance) with a focus on timely and fair resolution.
