About The Position

The Director is responsible for directing newscasts and collaborating with the production crew. This role involves designing graphics for newscasts, establishing the pace and segment sequences with the producer according to time requirements and accessibility, and ensuring smooth program operation during live broadcasts. The Director must handle last-minute changes professionally and communicate calmly, quickly, and clearly to all involved. Additionally, the role includes editing and encoding daily episodic and Network promotions, and maintaining adequate studio lighting levels. Reporting to work on time and adhering to the established schedule/hours is also required.

Requirements

• Possess knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operations of television systems.
• Must be flexible and able to deal with unexpected show changes calmly.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience directing live newscasts.
• Proven leadership skills; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Graphic design experience preferred.
