About The Position

The Director leads a child care center and is responsible for effectively and efficiently running school operations. The role promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth, helps create a warm, inspiring, educational, caring, and safe environment, and keeps parents informed and engaged. The Director works with staff to implement the company-provided curriculum and maintain compliance with company and state licensing standards, while fostering a positive partnership with the surrounding community.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school requirements.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.

Nice To Haves

• CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience in early childhood education strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan staff work schedules, evaluate staff performance, and develop performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards for them.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Promote a positive partnership with the surrounding community.
• Help create an educational, caring, and safe environment that sparks imagination, builds self-esteem, and helps children discover new things.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Promote children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth and keep parents informed and engaged.
