About The Position

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director to join their Finance Outsourcing Governance & Control (FOGC) team within the Finance Division. This role will support the execution and ongoing oversight of the Firm's Outsourcing Governance and Minimum Supervision Standards (MSS) framework. The Finance division partners with global business units by providing management, review, analysis, and advisory services for the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director-level position within the Centralized Management, COO Office.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment.
  • Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities.
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail when working with management information and data.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory and governance topics to a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and delivering high quality outputs under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and across the Firm, including leading governance calls and discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments.
  • Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work.
  • Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards.
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate production of monthly and quarterly reporting for Morgan Stanley's outsourcing framework: The Minimum Supervision Standards (MSS).
  • Track, manage, and escalate MSS related governance issues, including emerging compliance trends and remediation actions, in line with established control procedures.
  • Support process, control, and tooling enhancements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of MSS reporting and oversight.
  • Embed new and evolving regulatory expectations into existing processes, and respond to stakeholder and regulatory requests.
