About The Position

The Director leads a child care center and is responsible for its daily school operations. The role promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth by working with staff to create a warm, inspiring, educational, caring, and safe environment, while keeping parents informed and engaged. The Director also supports positive partnerships with the surrounding community and ensures the center operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school’s requirements.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan staff work schedules, evaluate staff performance, and develop performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting them for staff.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Promote a positive partnership with the surrounding community.
• Foster an educational, caring, and safe environment that supports children’s development and discovery.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Keep parents informed and engaged.
