About The Position

EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Tech Private Equity Value Creation team focuses on unlocking growth and operational efficiency for private equity portfolio companies, primarily PE-backed SaaS businesses in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. The team partners with management teams to identify business challenges, uncover actionable insights, develop strategic and tactical recommendations, and support execution planning and implementation. As a Director, you will lead and execute operationally focused projects, own end-to-end delivery, guide and develop junior consultants, and work with senior stakeholders and clients to turn analysis into measurable results. The role may involve hands-on interim leadership or PMO support, client proposals and pitches, and initiatives to develop the team's capabilities and market presence. The position is based in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco. In-person teaming at a client site or EY office is expected at least 60% of the time, or an average of three days per week over the applicable engagement, project, or performance year. Candidates must live within commuting distance of their office location and be willing to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
Experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or operating roles, with significant exposure to growth, go-to-market, or operational improvement.
Experience leading complex workstreams or full projects in a fast-paced client-service environment.
Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics.
Deep familiarity with Excel-based modeling, operational diagnostics, and strategic frameworks.
Proven success building relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations.
Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
Must reside within commuting distance of the applicable office location.
Must be able to meet the in-person teaming expectation of at least 60% of the time, or an average of three days a week over the applicable period.

TMT sector experience, particularly with B2B SaaS business models.
Knowledge of leveraging firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of strategy and execution projects, including scoping, planning, and driving results in high-pressure environments.
Supervise and mentor junior consultants, guide problem-solving, and ensure high-quality work.
Manage structured analyses to identify root causes, quantify opportunities, and develop data-backed recommendations across go-to-market, pricing, customer success, product, and operations.
Build trust with senior stakeholders and communicate complex insights clearly and compellingly.
Translate strategy into implementation roadmaps and partner with clients to realize value, including through hands-on interim leadership or PMO roles.
Contribute to proposal development, client pitches, and relationship building with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.
Help scale the PEVC team's knowledge base, capabilities, and market presence through intellectual property development, recruiting, and team-building initiatives.
