POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, UKG Workforce Management is responsible for operational oversight of the UKG Timekeeping, Attendance, Basic and Advanced Scheduling modules. This position will assist with analyzing data in new UKG analytics platform to identify and implement areas of opportunity. This position will also assist in leading education across the enterprise on UKG modules. They also will be the key subject matter expert for the advanced scheduling module and work to increase scheduling adherence and optimize utilization of scheduling systems across the enterprise. This person will also work closely with HR and IT and the VP, Financial Operations and Director, Productivity in implementing process and operational improvements and improving system controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years related healthcare experience.
  • Has worked in the acute care setting and understands hospital operations.
  • Experience with UKG timekeeping/absence management/staffing/scheduling/business applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and information technology with the ability to communicate technical aspects as needed.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of information systems and complex software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and foster collaborative partnerships using a team approach to span traditional boundaries within the health care setting.
  • Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude and high degree of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate results on time and efficiently with a customer-focuses approach.
  • Demonstrated skill in change management and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, complex problem solving and team development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes and analyses data in the new UKG analytics platform, assists VP Financial Operations in reviewing for opportunities for process and operational improvements.
  • Operates as the subject matter expert on scheduling practices within UKG
  • Responsible for conducting monthly champion/training calls to educate group on system enhancements and opportunity areas
  • Works to implement priority scheduling group utilization across the enterprise
  • Analyzes and reports on field scheduling metrics to provide enterprise-wide scheduling overview while supporting troubleshooting at local level.
  • Reviews scheduling adherence metrics using UKG analytics reports to look for opportunities for improvement in utilization of system
  • Monitors and reports on system Absence Management functions and works with HR on opportunities for improvement in utilization of system.
  • Works with IT and VP Financial Operations to develop appropriate controls over system
  • Reviews to ensure UKG exception reporting and nightly load errors are being appropriated worked by responsible parties and issues resolved timely.
  • Works toward Integration of UKG Dimensions with EPIC to maximize utilization of Forecasting tool in Dimensions Scheduler.
  • Assists in training for enterprise-wide education for UKG system use.
  • Responsible for new integration conversion to UKG from inception to deployment
  • Monitor controls over timekeeping approval process
