The Director, TRIO Programs serves as the principal operational and strategic leader for College’s TRIO initiatives within the Center for Multicultural Access and Success (CMAS) and as a primary partner to the Dean of Multicultural Access and Success. This position provides comprehensive leadership for TRIO Programs, including Student Support Services (SSS) and Educational Talent Search (ETS), and serves as the liaison between CMAS, TRIO, and Joliet Junior College administrators, faculty, public school district partners, students, parents, and community stakeholders. The Director is responsible for ensuring that the programs meet established goals, institutional objectives, and federal guidelines. This includes oversight of program development, implementation, and continuous improvement, management of daily operations, supervision, and evaluation of professional and support staff, budget planning, Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to the TRIO departments within the Center for Multicultural Access and Success. With broad authority over personnel, budgets, grants and compliance, the Director ensures alignment with college-wide goals, regulatory requirements and best practices in student success and equity work. Serving as a strategic partner to the Dean, the Director contributes to strategic and operational planning and decision-making, organizational development, and resource stewardship and may represent the Center and the College in internal and external partnerships. The Director is accountable for measurable outcomes related to student success, campus climate, and program effectiveness, and uses data-informed practices to drive impact, sustainability, and institutional change.
