About The Position

The Director, Transformation & Strategy serves as a high-impact, senior enterprise leader responsible for shaping, prioritizing, and driving Ryan’s transformation agenda to deliver measurable, sustained value creation. This role owns the integration of strategy, analytics, and execution discipline across the firm, ensuring that enterprise initiatives are rigorously prioritized, clearly quantified, and relentlessly tracked to outcomes. Reporting to the CTSO and partnering closely with executive leadership, the Director translates strategic ambition into executed results by ensuring completion of selected enterprise initiatives and accelerating change at scale. This role elevates Ryan’s transformation capability to best-in-class standards by embedding financial and operational rigor, KPI discipline, and accountability into every major initiative, while enabling scalability, efficiency, controls, and superior client service. This is a senior leadership role for an analytically rigorous, hands-on operator who can translate strategic ambition into executed results, embed performance discipline across initiatives, and partner closely with executive leadership to accelerate change at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, economics, engineering, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, strategy, transformation, private equity, investment banking, or equivalent enterprise roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level strategy and transformation initiatives from concept through execution and value realization, ideally in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven experience building and governing KPI frameworks, business cases, and benefits realization models.
  • Track record of influencing senior executives and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed environments.

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills for executive-ready presentations and strategic storytelling.
  • Directly supervises employees in their practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches and develops junior Transformation & Strategy team talent by modeling high standards for work product quality, executive communication, and analytical discipline.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to business leaders throughout Ryan, across all practice areas, functional groups, and geographies.
  • Influences leaders across the firm to adopt data-driven behaviors and performance transparency without relying on direct authority.
  • Translate complex data and analysis into concise, actionable insights for senior executives and the Board.
  • Partners with internal client groups and executive leaders to identify, prioritize, and structure high-impact transformation initiatives aligned to Ryan’s strategic objectives.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by translating complex data, analytics, and scenarios into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Leads executive-level forums, governance bodies, and operating reviews to provide transparency into progress, risks, and value realization.
  • Strengthens confidence in Ryan’s transformation efforts by improving clarity, consistency, and credibility of performance reporting and outcomes.
  • Owns enterprise transformation value discipline, including value-at-stake identification, financial impact modeling, KPI definition, and benefits tracking.
  • Establishes and reinforces a culture of disciplined execution, analytical rigor, and accountability across the Transformation & Strategy portfolio.
  • Monitors transformation performance through dashboards, analytics, and structured reviews, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for course correction.
  • Ensures enterprise initiatives are supported by robust business cases, clear success metrics, and aligned assumptions across Finance, Operations, IT, and other functions
