About The Position

The Executive Director of Transformation Operations & Strategy serves as a central execution leader within the enterprise Transformation Office, responsible for ensuring disciplined performance management, operational cadence, and cross-functional alignment across strategic initiatives within an integrated healthcare system. This role orchestrates the weekly transformation governance model, supports onboarding and effectiveness of workstream leaders and transformation personnel, and drives consistency in execution, reporting, and outcomes. The Senior Director operates as a trusted partner to executive leadership, enabling large-scale transformation initiatives, supporting sensitive and confidential projects, and ensuring that enterprise priorities are translated into measurable action and results.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare strategy, operations, consulting, or transformation leadership
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and executive leadership teams
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs in a matrixed healthcare environment
  • Experience with performance management, KPI development, and operational execution tracking

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the weekly Transformation Office cadence, including agenda design, performance tracking, issue escalation, and follow-through across all active workstreams
  • Establish and maintain standardized governance structures, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics to ensure alignment to enterprise transformation goals
  • Ensure accountability across workstreams by monitoring milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes
  • Lead onboarding, alignment, and ongoing enablement of: Workstream leaders, Initiative Owners (IOs), Transformation Office team members
  • Define expectations, operating rhythms, and performance standards for all transformation participants
  • Provide coaching and operational guidance to ensure leaders are equipped to drive results within the transformation framework
  • Drive enterprise-wide performance management practices tied to transformation initiatives, including KPI definition, tracking, and reporting
  • Identify execution risks and intervene to remove barriers to performance
  • Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Operations to align transformation initiatives with financial impact, cost optimization, and strategic priorities
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of high-impact strategic initiatives requiring complex coordination and cross-functional execution
  • Ensure alignment between transformation efforts and broader organizational priorities including growth, operational efficiency, and care delivery optimization
  • Drive consistency in planning artifacts (e.g., business cases, SBARs, dashboards) to improve decision-making quality
  • Lead or support highly confidential, executive-sponsored initiatives, requiring discretion, judgment, and cross-functional influence
  • Operate as a trusted extension of executive leadership, managing sensitive information and complex stakeholder dynamics
  • Partner with communications and leadership teams to ensure clear, consistent cascading of transformation priorities and progress across the organization
  • Enable adoption of transformation initiatives through structured communication, stakeholder engagement, and change reinforcement strategies
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve transformation effectiveness, including: Governance models, Decision-making processes, Cross-functional coordination
  • Drive standardization and scalability of transformation practices across the enterprise
