About The Position

The Director, Ticket Sales will lead the Company ticket sales staff in the sale of all ticket packages and group events. This role involves aggressively identifying new business development opportunities and conducting sales meetings with prospective accounts, while maintaining a robust pipeline. Daily updates to the sales database are crucial for accurate record-keeping. The Director will schedule and lead weekly ticket sales meetings, focusing on customer service and identifying opportunities for personal account growth. This position also oversees and coordinates designated group projects, developing written plans and reporting on progress. The role executes the renewal and new sales process for ticket packages and requires attending events outside normal business hours to grow business. Training team members on the sales process, including payment and paperwork processing, is also a key responsibility. Collaboration with the General Manager and Food & Beverage departments for picnic and suite orders is expected. Additional duties include administrative tasks, maintaining attention to detail and time management, representing the Company at community events, researching improvements for the sales department, and leading in customer service and task completion. The Director must represent the Company professionally and work as a member of a sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Company ticket sales staff in the sale of all ticket packages and group events.
  • Aggressively identify new business development and sales meetings with prospective accounts.
  • Maintain a consistent and robust pipeline of prospected accounts.
  • Perform daily updates to Company sales database to ensure accurate record-keeping and maintain an accurate database of all sold accounts and current/potential leads.
  • Schedule and lead weekly ticket sales meetings, bringing ideas to the staff for discussion.
  • Lead the ticket sales department with its in-season and post-season customer service program.
  • Identify and present opportunities to grow personal accounts.
  • Oversee and coordinate designated Company group “projects”, including developing a written plan to coordinate and deliver a successful year-round program; report on all potential contacts and organizations and weekly updates to the sales staff on the progress made in your category/event.
  • Work to execute the renewal and new sales process for ticket packages.
  • Exhibit a willingness to attend events outside of normal business hours in an effort to grow personal and departmental business.
  • Train team members and properly execute the sales process for booking ticket accounts, including: processing payments, tickets and paperwork.
  • Work with General Manager, Food & Beverage to outline and plan for picnic and suite level orders.
  • Lead in various administrative duties related to the ticket sales department, as needed.
  • Attend and represent the Company at appropriate community events, especially events that will improve ticket sales.
  • Along with the ticket sales staff, research ways to improve the ticket sales department.
  • Be a leader in customer service for all office and nightly staff.
  • Be a leader to all office and nightly staff in “getting the job done.”
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by the General Manager.
