About The Position

The Technical Product Director is responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders on priorities and requirements for new capabilities. They will lead the cross-product work intake process, coordinating from initial request through planning and budgeting stages, overseeing the cross-product epic grooming process to align on priorities and sequencing. This role manages the successful outcomes of the Agile teams and is a hands-on player/coach position. The Director communicates regularly with key stakeholders, collaborates with them to create and maintain the capability backlog, and owns the intake process for new work affecting multiple product groups. They maintain the product area backlog of requests at the epic level and prioritize cross-product initiatives. This role coordinates with stakeholders to ensure new requests proceed through intake to prioritization within SLA, interfaces with finance for budget & resourcing, and elevates potential ‘backlog breaking’ requests or urgent prioritization concerns to senior leadership as needed. The Director facilitates quarterly PI planning and budgeting, coordinates portfolio review meetings to approve impact to committed deliverables from new cross-product requests, and communicates decisions, priorities, and other relevant cross-product initiative information to appropriate stakeholders. Travel is expected to be 10%-15%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
  • 10+ years of progressive work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a product management role
  • 4+ years of experience working with technology platforms, integrations and APIs
  • Experience working as a program / project management role
  • Experience using AI tools for business: Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in service repairs or manufacturing is desired
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, particularly good communicating between business and technology teams
  • Ability to coordinate and influence a wide variety of stakeholders across the enterprise in order to clear roadblocks
  • Strong understanding of technology as well as business needs
  • Enthusiasm for Agile development methodologies
