About The Position

The Director, Technology Operations leads the strategic planning and execution of large-scale technology programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence. This role oversees financial management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement to drive successful delivery of technology initiatives. The Director applies advanced program management techniques to optimize resources, influence cross-functional teams, and foster collaboration. By integrating technology strategy with organizational goals, this position delivers measurable value and continuous improvement, supporting Walmart’s commitment to innovation and operational efficiency across multiple business units. About the team: The Records and Information Management Team partners across the organization to ensure accurate data and records management. They support regulatory compliance by developing and implementing processes and technology solutions aligned with business goals. Collaborating closely with leadership and stakeholders, the team maintains standards, enhances procedures, and addresses compliance needs. Focused on clear communication and continuous improvement, they uphold organizational integrity, enabling informed decision-making and operational excellence throughout the company. Their work integrates program management, stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, and business operations to drive effective and compliant technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in program and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management with the ability to influence and build consensus across multiple teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of program planning, estimation, risk assessment, and monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into integrated technology strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Experience driving operational excellence through process improvements and performance measurement.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey complex information clearly and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead large-scale technology programs with measurable business impact.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 6 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • OR 8 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • 3 years’ supervisory experience.

  • Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
