Implements defined overall production standards, and oversees and manages all production operations, within a single plant or site, which may include area related maintenance and engineering services. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Director, you will be responsible for the Technical Operations team. This team support manufacturing with technical issues, drives cost saving and improvement projects, manages 4th level field investigations (Walpole and OEM products), and supports the SHDM facility. You will partner with R&D and Quality leadership teams to drive necessary improvements to ensure the best quality product for our customers. You will work closely with the Tech Transfer team to ensure the successful launch of new products and the transition to manufacturing.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in science. Masters preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, open minded in change management, experience in organizational transformation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Technical Operations and 4 years in an Operations role.
  • Strong skills of communication, influencing and executive presentation.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% to vendor and other plant sites
  • Knowledge of the Immunoassay product portfolio.
  • Strategic thinking and strong customer focus to drive changes to the way products are perceived by our customers
  • Strong collaborating with various functional leaders to define, prioritize, develop, and manage projects.
  • Open minded and always willing to change, strong influencing skills
  • Very good presentation skills, strong executive presence, deep technical knowledge and the ability to influence others
  • Project management skills and operations knowledge will be critical to your success

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages all production operations within a single plant or site, which may include area related maintenance and engineering services.
  • Support manufacturing with technical issues.
