About The Position

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The organization is on a mission to create an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners, and the community. This role will serve as a strategic leader within People Management (PEM), helping shape and advance enterprise talent strategies, enterprise employee engagement efforts, and inclusive workplace practices across LA28 in support of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reporting to the Vice President, Talent Management, this role will work across Functional Areas (FAs) and PEM functions to advance talent priorities, strengthen the employee experience, and support key organizational objectives. The Director will serve as a strategic thought partner within Talent Management, helping connect talent, engagement, leadership, and inclusion efforts to support a high-performing and connected workforce.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Talent Management, Employee Experience, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Culture, Employee Engagement, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise or cross-functional talent initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking, executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations, frameworks, and strategic communications.
  • Ability to translate organizational values and inclusion principles into actionable strategies and programs.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and senior leaders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Vice President, Talent Management on strategic talent initiatives, career transition services, and long-term Games legacy efforts.
  • Support the development of talent strategies, frameworks, and recommendations that strengthen leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, and career experiences.
  • Connect efforts across Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, employee engagement, and inclusion to support a cohesive employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development leadership to align leadership development, engagement, and career transition initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
  • Contribute to executive presentations, strategic planning discussions, organizational updates, and enterprise projects requiring cross-functional coordination.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on talent priorities, culture initiatives, and engagement strategies.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee connection, belonging, accessibility awareness, and organizational culture.
  • Oversee Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), employee community-building efforts, and cultural engagement programs.
  • Support activation of LA28's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and related culture initiatives.
  • Advance representation and inclusion commitments by partnering with Functional Areas to promote awareness, engagement, and inclusive workplace practices.
  • Support outreach and engagement efforts that increase awareness of LA28 employment, volunteer, and development opportunities across Los Angeles and venue communities.
  • Foster partnerships that help connect local communities and talent pools to LA28 opportunities and experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer team on initiatives that strengthen community participation and connection to the Games.
  • Build strong relationships across Functional Areas to advance talent, culture, and engagement priorities.
  • Support awareness and engagement efforts related to LA28's accessibility, inclusion, and Paralympic commitments.
  • Develop executive-ready materials, frameworks, updates, and reporting.
  • Monitor progress and communicate outcomes related to key talent and engagement initiatives.
  • Help maintain alignment across inclusion-related commitments and organizational priorities.
  • Provide recommendations that are practical, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Build trusted partnerships across the organization to advance talent, engagement, accessibility, and inclusion priorities.
  • Deliver executive-ready recommendations and measurable outcomes that support organizational goals and strengthen the employee experience.
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
