About The Position

The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading, developing, and optimizing Guardian’s Talent Acquisition function to support the organization’s continued growth and commitment to superior service. This role serves as a strategic leader who builds and develops a high-performing recruiting team while driving operational excellence, process improvement, technology optimization, workforce planning, and talent acquisition strategy. Working closely with Human Resources leadership, business leaders, and pharmacy operations teams across the organization, the Director, Talent Acquisition ensures the delivery of exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences while creating scalable recruiting solutions that attract, engage, and retain top talent. The Director, Talent Acquisition exemplifies Guardian’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values and plays a critical role in ensuring Guardian has the talent needed to support business objectives and deliver better outcomes for our customers, patients, and employees.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, or Human Resources with a demonstrated record of delivering results.
  • 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing recruiting teams in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM platforms, recruiting technologies, and data-driven talent acquisition strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into action.
  • Demonstrated success leading process improvement, technology implementation, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site, high-growth organizations preferred.
  • Healthcare, pharmacy, behavioral health, or other service-oriented industry experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate Talent Acquisition team members and recruiting support staff.
  • Establish team goals, performance expectations, and development plans that drive accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for Talent Acquisition professionals.
  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to promote effective recruiting practices and successful hiring outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent acquisition strategies, labor market trends, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with Guardian’s growth objectives and workforce needs.
  • Optimize recruiting workflows, service delivery models, and operational processes to improve efficiency and hiring effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance candidate experience, hiring manager satisfaction, and recruiting outcomes.
  • Oversee recruiting coordination, vendor relationships, employment branding initiatives, and recruiting partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, recruiting policies, pre-employment screening requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure recruiting effectiveness and team performance.
  • Provide strategic leadership for Workday Recruiting and related talent acquisition technologies.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize recruiting technologies, automation tools, sourcing platforms, and workflow enhancements.
  • Partner with HRIS, IT, and business intelligence teams to improve integrations, reporting capabilities, and system functionality.
  • Lead Talent Acquisition reporting, analytics, forecasting, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Analyst to continuously enhance Guardian’s Talent Acquisition Dashboard and deliver actionable workforce insights.
  • Leverage data, trends, and market intelligence to identify opportunities, improve hiring outcomes, and support business decisions.
  • Champion a people-first candidate experience that reflects Guardian’s culture, values, and commitment to service excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with pharmacy leadership, Support Services leadership, Human Resources, and operational stakeholders.
  • Ensure candidates, hiring managers, and internal partners receive responsive, transparent, and high-quality support throughout the recruiting process.
  • Promote Guardian’s employer brand through consistent messaging, engagement strategies, and recruiting best practices.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
