About The Position

This role oversees a team of senior engineers and serves as a strategic business portfolio owner responsible for planning and engineering an organization's systems infrastructure, ensuring projects and contracts meet requirements. The position interfaces with business leaders across multiple business lines to develop strategies and manage budgets for system design, implementation, and maintenance, aiming for efficient and effective systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience, providing efficient and effective enterprise deployment of infrastructure components.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large, senior-level engineering teams, including manager and/or technical leads.
  • 5+ years of maintaining a business portfolio for service delivery within a typical project methodology (waterfall, agile, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to system performance.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating and selecting vendors for system components and services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and mentor a team of systems engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation while driving accountability and performance management.
  • Develop long-range plans, strategies, and performance metrics for the systems engineering function.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and integration of systems, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance, ensure adherence to best practices, and implement new approaches to system design and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineering departments and business units, to align system solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those related to security, data protection, and industry best practices.
  • Establish and enforce operational rigor, including standardized processes, governance, and delivery frameworks of projects.
