About The Position

Havasu Regional Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As the Surgical Services Director joining our team, you’re embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This role leads a collaborative, supportive clinical team in a fast-paced perioperative environment. The Surgical Services team prioritizes patient safety through mutual trust and a deeply rooted culture of psychological safety. The scope includes 114 FTEs, 9,000 annual surgical cases, and 2,000 annual endoscopic procedures across 10 active Operating Rooms. The units of responsibility include Main OR, Havasu Ambulatory Surgery Center, PreOp, PACU, Preadmission Testing, Anesthesia Services, and CSPD. Specialties covered are Orthopedics, urology, OB/GYN, general surgery, plastics, ENT, neurosurgery, and podiatry. The multidisciplinary staff includes surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and sterile processing technicians.

Requirements

• Current Arizona RN license
• Bachelor of Science (BSN) from an accredited nursing school
• 5+ years of surgical nursing experience required
• Proven leadership experience in the surgical setting required

• Master’s degree (nursing or relevant field) preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
• Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
• Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
