Responsibilities
Oversees all aspects of the supply chain operations; including purchasing, shipping & receiving, inventory control, distribution and mail room.
Oversees all aspects of the courier service to include mail pick up and delivery, lab, and bank deposits.
Manages supply chain operations in all specialty areas including; Surgical Services, Cath Lab, Imaging, Lab, Home Health and Medical Partners.
Reviews monthly reports on inventory control and purchasing to continually improve operations.
Serves as a "lean" advisor to departments.
Assist directors with supply utilization reports and opportunities.
Coordinates the purchase of all furniture for: waiting rooms and lobbies, patient rooms, nursing stations, and conference rooms.
Assist directors with service and supply contracts.
Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff to perform all supply chain functions.
Sets goals and objectives for the Materials Management Department.
Provides products and equipment sourcing for departments.
Assist departments with budget pricing and estimates.
Demonstrates responsibility through responsiveness to others and competent follow-up on matters requiring additional attention; contacts appropriate personnel, as required, to ensure continuity of supply chain processes.
Evaluates products in both a competitive and comparative manner in cooperation with user departments, using sound judgement and good supply chain practices.
Manages the capital equipment purchasing function, including HMHD poicies and procedures, and as applicable the Texas Local Governmnet Code; adhering to advertising and bidding requirements.
Assist directors with development of specifications for capital RFB's and RFP's considering requirements of users.
Serves as a supply chain consultant to department directors and managers on improvement of inventory control and supply spend.
