About The Position

The Director Supply Chain Planning is responsible for leading and coaching the planning teams across Voyant Beauty manufacturing sites from rough cut capacity planning, free capacity availability (ranges) in units by technology platforms as feed to a corporate NPD Commercialization process to allocate business to sites accordingly, and finite line and people scheduling processes and practices. This position is instrumental to improve service, inventory, planning and continuous improvement productivity for the business team they support and coach and mentor the planning team to; The Director Supply Planning will ensure supply continuity from our plants with adequate safety stock and or make to order to support demand volatility including managing order frequency, MOQs and efficient use of min-max or other inventory programs. The Director will drive planning excellence through the development of standardized processes, KPI management, systems optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering closely with VP Sourcing, VP Operations, CI Directors, Finance, Quality, R&D Commercial and product development teams. The incumbent will have deep technical and analytical skills in Planning and is responsible to drive continuous improvement cross-functionally by leveraging and applying best practices across all stages of the processes. This includes building relationships internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. (Required)
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain, planning, operations, or manufacturing leadership experience. (Required)
  • 4-6 years of leadership experience managing planning, scheduling, supply chain, or operations teams. (Required)
  • 4-6 years demonstrated experience leading S&OP, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and production planning functions. (Required)
  • 4-6 years within consumer packaged goods (CPG), contract manufacturing, personal care, beauty, food, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environments. (Required)
  • 4-6 years advanced proficiency with ERP and planning systems. (Required)
  • 4-6 years advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including modeling, forecasting, and data analysis. (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or advanced degree (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years with Epicor, JD Edwards, AS400, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems. (Preferred)
  • 4-6 years leading enterprise-wide planning transformation initiatives. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide and site-specific supply chain planning strategies, including demand planning, supply planning, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling including labor planning in partnership with Sourcing, Operations and Finance.
  • Oversee rough-cut and finite capacity planning processes to maximize manufacturing utilization, support commercialization efforts, and ensure alignment with customer demand and business objectives.
  • Key partner in the SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning) processes by collaborating with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain leadership teams to integrate capacity models, supply constraints and opportunities into forward business plans.
  • Establish and monitor planning and inventory KPIs, including OTIF, inventory turns, fill rate, production attainment, working capital performance, and customer service metrics; develop corrective action plans when performance falls below targets.
  • Lead and develop the planning organization through coaching, performance management, succession planning, workforce development, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for supply disruptions, capacity constraints, and inventory risks; evaluate business impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead planning-related systems initiatives, including ERP, APS, and supply chain technology implementations, enhancements, and process standardization efforts.
  • Partner with Sourcing, Operations, and Commercial teams to establish inventory strategies, safety stock methodologies, order frequency parameters, and service-level expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning accuracy, productivity, inventory performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, resource allocation, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Champion change management initiatives and promote adoption of new planning processes, technologies, and ways of working.
  • Support new product commercialization efforts through capacity assessments and production readiness planning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Participate in strategic business initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across multiple manufacturing sites and functional teams.
