About The Position

Marvell's Supply Chain Organization is seeking a talented Director with a deep understanding of leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing supplier ecosystem, sourcing and negotiation methods, supplier relationship development and contracting techniques. You’ll collaborate with global cross-functional teams including Foundry Engineering, Product and Test Engineering, Finance, Business Units and Supply Chain to define sourcing methods, supplier selection, negotiation plans towards meeting Marvell’s product ramp, capacity needs and cost targets. Marvell's product portfolio includes standard and customer-specific products for leading-edge AI, Datacenter and Cloud, Carrier, Enterprise, and storage applications. The successful candidate will manage a team consisting of sourcing managers, commodity managers and buyers and drive cross-functional efforts to define sourcing methods and processes, product level supplier selection/negotiations and ensuring a strong supplier relationship to support Marvell’s growth. This is a high visibility role with exposure to senior leadership. Successful candidate will define and execute systematic processes towards supplier selection, sourcing and negotiation plans to meet the overall technology, capacity and cost targets for Marvell’s products. Develop a high performing team that can grow and expand their skills to meet the increasing complexity of sourcing leading edge products’ needs. Ability to motivate individuals to grow and develop skills to meet the growing needs of the company and develop their career. Lead cross-functional cost reviews to report actual versus target sourcing costs, risks and opportunities and align senior management team to status, roadmap and risks.

Requirements

  • BS or higher in Engineering, Science, Finance with 10-15 years of related professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Foundry and/or OSAT Procurement as a Manager or higher-level role.
  • Knowledge of Semiconductor Manufacturing and its Supply Chain and the cost structure of semiconductor process and packaging technology
  • Strong understanding of Foundry and OSAT supplier ecosystem, technology offerings, their financial structure and strategy
  • Prior experience with Foundry and/or OSAT sourcing/negotiations/should cost methods and supplier selection is a must.
  • Ability to develop executive level relationships with suppliers and a win-win strategy.
  • Experience working with teams with diverse cultural and geographic backgrounds.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the organization are critical.
  • Excellent data analysis skills with a statistical mindset are needed to identify correlations between product cost, sourcing costs, performance and margins.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills are required with an ability to succinctly summarize key indicators, results and risks to senior management.
  • Ability to work with a cross functional team involving Engineering, finance, supply chain, to identify opportunities to change/enhance current methods and get executive leadership commitment and drive them to closure.
  • Strong managerial skills and ability to define measurable targets, drive innovation and growth mindset in the organization.
