About The Position

This role is responsible for implementing global business objectives to ensure growth, which may include the identification and implementation of acquisition targets and/or potential partners. The Director will develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to partner in productive and profitable sales growth. They will be responsible for developing, managing, and creating the relationship between the organization and suppliers, customers, and/or vendors within their business group’s specific technologies by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals at target companies for large businesses. This includes assisting with the development and execution of strategy and business development, implementing business development initiatives, providing market intelligence, and evaluating, developing, and managing market-specific sales strategies and new strategic business opportunities. The role ensures execution to sales growth plans and drives results through demand identification and demand creation opportunities. This job profile requires assignment and participation in a sales compensation plan, where a portion of OTE will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 12 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working within large, complex global organizations and navigating matrixed sales, supplier, and business-unit structures.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex agreements, contracts, pricing, and/or strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to structure agreements that support long-term profitable growth.
  • Track record of identifying and developing new revenue opportunities, markets, partnerships, or strategic business relationships.
  • Experience taking opportunities from market identification through execution.
  • Demonstrated success developing and maintaining relationships with senior executives at large customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
  • Experience influencing and negotiating with multiple stakeholders across complex organizations.
  • Ability to translate market intelligence into actionable sales strategies and growth plans.
  • 10+ years of progressive channel sales, distribution, supplier management, or technology ecosystem experience.
