About The Position

This role is a Director within the National Sales job family. The position participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives, makes final decisions on implementation, and ensures operational effectiveness. The Director cascades functional strategy and contributes to the development of organizational policies. This role is accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets. The role works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and where fundamental principles do not fully apply. The Director translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution. They participate in OpCo development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people, ensuring budgets and schedules meet OpCo requirements. This position contributes to the development of strategies of a function or multi-departments. Erroneous decisions will have a critical long-term (typically up to five years) impact on the overall success of the function or multi-departments. The Director interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers, frequently involving negotiating matters of significance to the organization, and reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results. This role directs the activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management and leads teams to develop new methods and solve complex matters. This is a Director (Salaried People Manager with at least 1 direct report).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8–12 years of progressive, relevant business experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a financially driven, performance-oriented culture.
  • Proven success in strategic planning, including the use of metrics, KPIs, and countermeasures.
  • Strong command of budgeting, accounting, and financial principles, including forecasting, performance measurement, and reporting.
  • Practical application of Lean principles to drive operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated leadership development capabilities, including successful mentoring and talent growth.
  • Experience building employee engagement with measurable outcomes and specific tools utilized.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound, decisive judgments.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a collaborative and energizing approach to leadership.
