Requirements

• 10+ Years of Strategic Leadership: Progressive experience in strategy, project management, or sales/ marketing within the Life Sciences, Pharma, Nutraceutical or Consumer Health industries.
• Expertise in B2B Strategy: Deep knowledge of market sizing, product-market fit, complex business models, competitive analysis, and the ability to translate data into actionable commercial plans.
• Executive-Level Influence: Proven success in aligning senior and executive leadership around complex, global business initiatives.
• Financial Mastery: Strong financial acumen with experience managing a P&L or mapping strategic storylines directly to financial performance and ROI.
• Agile Problem Solving: A "divestment-ready" mindset with the ability to draft concise, high-impact narratives under tight timelines and strict confidentiality.
• Global Perspective: Experience working across multiple continents and cultures, with the ability to travel up to 25% to support global business units.
• Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Life Sciences required

Nice To Haves

• MBA or professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are highly preferred to solve complex business problems.

Responsibilities

• Own the Global Strategy: Lead the creation, governance, and execution of the Lonza Capsugel’s business platform strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
• Drive Value Creation: Direct cross-functional leaders to identify and execute impactful divisional projects across regions and globally to further drive Lonza Capsugel’s market leadership
• Direct Executive Reporting: Work directly for the VP of Strategic Growth & Revenue Management and the VP Head of Finance, while advising the Lonza Capsugel’s President and Executive Leadership Team.
• Govern Strategic Reviews: Prepare and execute the Business Strategic Review processes for approval by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
• Shape the Divestment Story: Support executive leadership and external advisors in navigating the business through the divestment process including direct accountability for key initiatives
• Collaborate Across the Matrix: Partner with global stakeholders across R&D, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Quality, IT, and HR to ensure a unified approach to productivity, innovation and growth.
• Lead Through Influence: Mentor and steer a global team of experts, managing high-stakes initiatives like M&A opportunities and large-scale capital investments.
