Director Strategic Technology Partnerships

CCC Intelligent SolutionsChicago, IL
$157,418 - $210,000

About The Position

CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. (CCC) is seeking a seasoned Director of Strategic Technology Partnerships to lead and evolve the relationships between our internal stakeholders and our most critical external technology partners. This role goes beyond relationship maintenance — it requires cutting through partner marketing narratives to identify tangible opportunities that accelerate innovation, improve financial performance, and strengthen our technology strategy. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, sharp commercial instincts, and disciplined operational rigor. They must be equally comfortable challenging partner assumptions, influencing internal stakeholders at the executive level, and building scalable governance frameworks that ensure partnerships deliver against defined outcomes. This leader will serve as the connective tissue between how the business perceives its strategic partners and how those relationships are structured, governed, and optimized.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience spanning hands-on technical roles (e.g., solutions architect, software engineer, product engineer) and strategic technology partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess partner capabilities, challenge vendor narratives, and translate partner offerings into tangible enterprise value.
  • Proven track record managing complex, high-value strategic partnerships with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including commercial and technical engagement models.
  • Working knowledge of AI concepts, including agentic frameworks, generative AI, and associated performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated success building governance frameworks, operating models, and performance measurement systems.
  • Experience building structure and process in ambiguous or decentralized environments.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and performance signals into actionable insights and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills, including experience presenting to and influencing C-suite and senior technology leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the insurance technology, financial services, or SaaS industry.
  • Familiarity with vendor contract structures, software licensing models, and negotiation strategy.
  • Experience working in or alongside a technology product organization, with exposure to roadmap planning and prioritization processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a structured, evidence-based partner management framework that evaluates service performance, commercial value, risk, and contractual commitments.
  • Establish governance models, KPIs, and engagement cadences for key partnerships; drive quarterly business reviews that produce clear decisions and accountable follow-through.
  • Lead partner escalations and drive accountability for measurable outcomes and sustained improvement.
  • Translate partner capabilities into actionable, high-value use cases aligned to business and technology priorities, filtering out marketing noise in favor of practical, implementable solutions.
  • Stay informed on the evolving partner ecosystem — including emerging technologies and competitive dynamics — and proactively identify opportunities to rationalize, consolidate, expand, or establish new partnerships based on strategic business impact.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams (Product, Technology, Security, Finance, Procurement, and others) and external partners.
  • Translate business needs into partner strategies and partner capabilities into internal opportunities.
  • Resolve misalignment between stakeholder expectations and partner performance or scope.
  • Bring structure and visibility to fragmented or informal partner interactions across the technology organization and across CCC.
  • Ensure partnerships deliver against defined KPIs, including cost efficiency, innovation, scalability, and measurable business value.
  • Track and communicate partner performance through dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to maximize utilization of contracted services, eliminate value leakage, and ensure full realization of negotiated contract value.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between partners and internal product, technology, and business teams.
  • Equip internal technology leaders with clarity on partner capabilities, incentives, and opportunities.
  • Influence senior leaders to drive consistent partnership practices across the organization and align partner capabilities with roadmap priorities.
