Director, Strategic Accounts, Health Systems

Thyme CareRemote, United States
$149,000 - $175,000Remote

About The Position

Thyme Care's health system partnership footprint is growing quickly across new markets. We're hiring an implementation and account management leader to own the full lifecycle of our partnered health system: onboarding new accounts, integrating our care model with their clinical and operational teams, and building the durable operational relationships that make these partnerships perform. This role is the connective tissue between our health system partners and Thyme Care's internal clinical, product, and analytics teams. You'll be the day-to-day owner our partners rely on, and the internal advocate who ensures we deliver on what we've promised. This is a highly visible opportunity to help shape a growing health system partnership portfolio from the ground up. You’ll work closely with growth leadership and partner executives while building the implementation and account management playbook that will support the team as it scales. It’s an ideal role for someone who wants meaningful ownership, enjoys creating structure from ambiguity, and is excited to help define a new model for oncology care.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare, with meaningful time spent in health system operations, provider-facing implementation, or account management at a healthcare services or digital health company
  • A track record of taking partnerships from signature to steady-state: you've run implementations, built joint operating models, and owned executive-level relationships
  • Fluency in how health systems work: service line structures, care team roles, committee dynamics, and the realities of change management inside large provider organizations
  • Familiarity with value-based care arrangements and programs; oncology experience is a strong plus
  • Exceptional project management: you create structure, keep many workstreams moving, and never let a commitment slip
  • A relationship-first operating style, paired with the directness to hold partners and internal teams accountable
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an early-stage environment where you'll help define the playbook, not just run it
  • Willingness to travel to partner sites regularly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting oncology service lines, cancer centers, or oncology value-based programs
  • Experience with clinical workflow integration, EHR-adjacent implementation, or care management program launches
  • Exposure to ACO, MSSP, or health system-owned health plan operations

Responsibilities

  • Own new partner implementation — Lead onboarding for newly signed health system partnerships end to end: kickoff, stakeholder mapping, workflow design, data and reporting setup, care team introductions, and go-live.
  • Operationalize our collaboration model — Run working sessions with partner clinical and operational leaders to define delegation levels and responsibilities across care navigation functions, and translate those decisions into documented workflows both teams follow.
  • Manage ongoing account health — Serve as the primary point of contact for live partnerships. Run recurring operating reviews, track enrollment and engagement performance, surface issues early, and drive resolution across Thyme Care and partner teams.
  • Build multi-level relationships — Develop trusted relationships across partner organizations, from service line administrators and nurse navigators to pharmacy, population health, and executive sponsors.
  • Drive performance and expansion — Use enrollment, engagement, and outcomes data to identify improvement opportunities, then partner internally and externally to act on them. Identify and tee up opportunities to expand the partnership into new populations, programs, or markets.
  • Inform product and service expansion — Bring structured partner feedback back to product, clinical, and growth teams to sharpen our model and our pitch.
  • Support the full partnership lifecycle — Flex into pre-signature work alongside the growth lead: deal models, market analysis, and pitch materials, then carry those same accounts through implementation once signed
  • Own the operational engine of growth — Run the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the pipeline moving: performance math, market research, and materials development, so partnership conversations are always backed by rigorous analysis.
