About The Position

The Director, Service Parts (Spares) Planning provides executive leadership for global Service Parts Planning functions. This role develops and executes strategies that support the mission and vision of Global Spares Planning, delivering differentiated customer availability while optimizing inventory investment and business profitability. Leads multiple planning organizations and managers across a global matrixed environment. Responsible for strategy deployment, operational performance, organizational capability, succession planning, and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in planning, supply chain, manufacturing, service operations, or related functions.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience including management of managers and global teams.
  • Deep expertise in service parts planning, inventory management, forecasting, lifecycle planning, and supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale organizational transformation and operational excellence programs.
  • Experience working within a complex global matrix environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to travel ~10% to meet with global teams in Asia, Europe and the US

Responsibilities

  • Drive best-in-class global service parts availability across depot, consignment, and emergency fulfillment networks.
  • Provide end-to-end leadership across Service Parts (Spares) Planning processes.
  • Create clear operating models and role clarity between Global and Regional planning organizations.
  • Partner with CSBG Services, Business Operations, GOPs, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional teams to align business objectives and execution plans.
  • Lead accountability systems, business reviews, and Lam Management System practices to deliver predictable results.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, digital transformation, and scalability initiatives.
  • Develop long-range workforce, succession, and capability plans for the planning organization.
  • Champion customer satisfaction, inventory optimization, and profitability objectives.
