The Director, Space Planning and Facilities Management is responsible for the overall strategic leadership of the planning, development, management and utilization of Faculty of Medicine Academic Space. The Director, Space Planning & Facilities Management leads staff and external consultants, ensures appropriate space allocation and management policies and procedures are developed and implemented, space and facility plans are successfully executed to meet the changing needs of the Faculty, key partner’s relationships are built and maintained, and a culture of integrity, collegiality, and agility is fostered. As most of the Faculty’s 1.8M square feet of Academic Space is built, owned, operated and/or maintained by other agencies and institutions under legislation, utilization agreements, or institutional regulations, the Director initiates, directs, and negotiates on behalf of the Faculty to ensure the Faculty’s space and facilities requirements are met.
