About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Director, Software Engineer in Chicago, IL to build technical tools, connections, and capabilities to support internal business needs. Develop and maintain software solutions that support business needs. Design, develop, deliver, and support the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Business. Develop prototypes and third-party service integration. Develop software applications for financial markets with understanding of Equities, Futures, and Options. Work within the Scrum Framework and Agile methodologies. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, or a related occupation
  • Three (3) years of experience with Java
  • Three (3) years of experience with Spring
  • Three (3) years of experience with Spring Boot
  • Three (3) years of experience developing prototypes
  • Three (3) years of experience with third party service integration
  • Three (3) years of experience with Multi-threading and networking protocols
  • Three (3) years of experience with Streaming Technologies
  • Three (3) years of experience with Scrum Framework
  • Three (3) years of experience with Agile methodologies
  • Three (3) years of experience with Linux environments
  • Three (3) years of experience with Git
  • Three (3) years of experience with Maven
  • Three (3) years of experience with Jenkins
  • Three (3) years of experience with Teams
  • Three (3) years of experience with JIRA
