About The Position

Arclin has an immediate opening for a full-time, Director of Shared Services. This will be a hybrid role (3 Days minimum in office),based out of our Corporate Headquarters, located in Northern Metro Atlanta (Alpharetta). As we embark on our journey to become a publicly traded entity, we are seeking a transformative leader to modernize our global accounting function. We are currently seeking talent for a leadership role in our Alpharetta, GA location. Position Summary – Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Director of Shared Services is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s centralized finance operations, including SAP Master Data, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and other core shared‑service functions. This role will be responsible for implementing a Shared Service organization, ensuring high‑quality service delivery, strong internal controls, and continuous process optimization across global, multi‑entity environments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SAP Finance, proven experience managing SOX‑compliant processes, and a track record of building scalable, efficient, customer‑focused shared‑service organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, shared services, or controllership roles.
  • Significant hands‑on experience with SAP FI/CO, including P2P, AP, Fixed Assets, and Payroll integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Proven leadership of large teams and multi‑function shared‑service environments.
  • Demonstrated success driving process transformation, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change‑leadership skills.
  • Experience in global or multi‑entity organizations preferred.
  • Willingness to travel about 20-30% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Concur, Ariba, or other enterprise platforms.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., RPA, OCR, workflow engines).
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with KPI dashboards and performance management.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and influence cross‑functional leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic vision, operating model, and roadmap for the Shared Services organization.
  • Establish governance frameworks, service‑level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics to ensure consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
  • Lead transformation initiatives to streamline processes, enhance automation, and improve end‑to‑end efficiency.
  • Partner with executive leadership, Finance, HR, IT, and Procurement to align shared‑service capabilities with enterprise goals.
  • Building a strong shared service function that enables separation from the Transition Services Agreement for a recently acquired business in SAP.
  • Serve as the senior business owner for SAP master data and finance processes across P2P, AP, O2C -Credit, AR and Cash Application, Payroll integrations, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting.
  • Responsible for SAP Concur Travel and Expense and its integration with four separate ERP instances.
  • Responsible for the implementation of Blackline Account Reconciliation, Task Manager, Journal Entry and Account Matching modules and its integration with four separate ERP instances.
  • Responsible for HRIS systems and payroll provider integrations including Workday, UKG, ADP, with four separate ERP instances.
  • Oversee system design, configuration, enhancements, and data governance in partnership with IT and SAP COE teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, workflow optimization, and integration of new SAP capabilities (e.g., S/4HANA, Central Finance).
  • Ensure SAP processes support compliance, audit readiness, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Own SOX‑relevant processes within Shared Services, ensuring strong internal controls, documentation, and testing readiness.
  • Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support walkthroughs, testing, and remediation.
  • Implement and maintain robust control frameworks across AP, Payroll, T&E, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting.
  • Monitor risk indicators and drive corrective actions to maintain a strong control environment.
  • Accounts Payable & Procure‑to‑Pay: Oversee invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, PO compliance, and exception handling.
  • Credit & Accounts Receivable and Cash Application: Oversee credit, accounts receivable and cash application of customer payments, credit reviews, reporting, and exception handling.
  • Payroll Operations: Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing, tax compliance, and integration with HRIS and SAP Finance.
  • Travel & Expense Management: Govern T&E policies, expense auditing, corporate card programs, and compliance monitoring.
  • Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting: Oversee asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and ASC 842 lease accounting processes.
  • Other Shared‑Service Functions: May include cash application, master data management, intercompany processing, and financial operations support.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce manual work, eliminate defects, and improve cycle times.
  • Champion the use of automation tools (e.g., workflow engines, OCR, RPA, analytics platforms).
  • Develop standardized global processes and drive adoption across business units and regions.
  • Use data and KPIs to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing team of managers and specialists across multiple functional areas.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer service, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Develop talent through coaching, training, and succession planning.
  • Promote collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
