About The Position

The Director / Senior Director – ASIC (New Business) is responsible for new customer acquisition and revenue growth for Quest Global’s ASIC and semiconductor engineering services in the Bay Area. This is a 0→1 business-building role focused on creating opportunities, leading consultative solution sales, and closing strategic ASIC engagements and partnerships across the end-to-end ASIC lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 15–20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with significant customer-facing sales / business development responsibility.
  • Proven track record of new business development, new logo wins, and building multi-million-dollar pipeline in ASIC/semiconductor engineering services.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end ASIC lifecycle (RTL, design, verification, silicon, validation, bring-up, system integration) and ability to sell technical value to engineering and executive stakeholders.
  • Established Bay Area network with access to decision-makers (CXO/VP/Director level) in semiconductor companies and AI startups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and building from scratch.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling engineering services to ASIC design houses, semiconductor OEMs, hyperscalers, or high-growth AI compute startups.
  • Background in mid-size or niche semiconductor/ASIC firms with strong agility and relationship-led selling motion.
  • Experience expanding accounts from an ASIC entry point into software, embedded, and system engineering engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Drive net-new logo acquisition and account penetration across Bay Area semiconductor companies and AI startups.
  • Build and execute go-to-market strategy for ASIC engineering services; generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, ecosystem partnerships, and executive engagement.
  • Own end-to-end sales cycle: qualification, discovery, solutioning, proposal development, commercial negotiation, closure, and expansion.
  • Lead consultative solution selling across the ASIC lifecycle (RTL/design, verification, physical design, DFT, silicon validation/bring-up, system integration).
  • Collaborate with delivery, engineering, and leadership teams to shape offerings (silicon + software + embedded systems) and win multi-year strategic engagements.
  • Represent Quest Global in the local ecosystem through events, customer forums, and strategic alliances.
