The Director SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant SEC reporting, including various forms and filings. This role involves consolidating global results, ensuring accuracy of external financial information, directing accounting for stock compensation programs, establishing accounting policies, and analyzing new accounting rules. The position also requires reviewing significant financial transactions, partnerships, contracts, and novel situations for appropriate accounting and valuation. A key responsibility includes the valuation and impairment testing of intangible assets like goodwill and software. The role also encompasses financial reporting, global consolidations, equity accounting, non-GAAP reporting, and supporting financial audits. Additionally, it involves managing Oracle and HFM software upgrades, and handling registration statements for debt offerings. On the technical accounting side, responsibilities include accounting for new products, services, contracts, restructurings, variable interest entities, software capitalization, hedge accounting, business combinations, divestitures, financial due diligence, impairment reviews for investments, and intangible assets. The role also covers borrowing activities, ownership of global accounting policies, implementation of new accounting pronouncements, and accounting for employee benefit plans.
