About The Position

The Global Technology and Operations team is seeking a Director, SDLC and Delivery Enablement to play a critical leadership role in advancing Prudential's delivery evolution through enterprise methodology enablement, SDLC modernization, governance, and continuous improvement. This role reports to the VP, Lean Delivery Outcomes and is accountable for defining, governing, and evolving the delivery frameworks, standards, and practices that enable teams to deliver business value with greater speed, predictability, quality, and transparency. The ideal candidate brings firsthand Product Owner or Product Management experience and understands the realities of delivering value within complex organizations. They are an influential change leader, critical thinker, and continuous improvement champion who embraces AI-enabled ways of working to modernize delivery practices and improve organizational performance. This is an outcome-oriented and execution-focused role requiring a balance of strategy, influence, and hands-on leadership with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, evolve delivery practices aligned to enterprise standards, address systemic delivery challenges, and drive sustainable adoption of scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven experience in Product Management, Agile, Delivery Excellence, SDLC, Process Excellence, Transformation, or related disciplines.
  • Product Owner/Product Management experience is highly desired.
  • Candidates should have firsthand experience defining, prioritizing, and delivering products or solutions, not solely coaching or advising delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in Agile delivery methodologies, Lean principles, SDLC practices, and delivery governance.
  • Strong experience leveraging delivery metrics and performance insights to drive decision-making.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive change in complex matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with AI-enabled delivery practices, automation, or modern software delivery frameworks preferred.
  • Financial services or other regulated industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Enterprise Delivery Methodology Evolution and Adoption: Lead the evolution of Scaled Lean Delivery and SDLC methodologies across Prudential. Drive adoption of delivery methodology and support change management of Scaled Lean Delivery across the enterprise.
  • Serve as a delivery excellence expert, partnering with senior leaders across business, product, technology, risk, control, and operations to define and accelerate the adoption of modern delivery practices, meaningful measurement, and AI-enabled ways of working that improve organizational performance and outcomes.
  • Scale proven practices across the enterprise.
  • Own and Evolve SDLC Standards, Control, Guidance, and Governance: Partner with Risk, Compliance, Security, Architecture, Engineering, and Testing teams to ensure delivery standards remain effective and scalable; automate controls where possible.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify delivery while maintaining appropriate risk management and controls.
  • Apply lean, agile, and process excellence principles to solve complex, cross-functional delivery challenges.
  • Drive with Accountability: Embed practices that increase predictability, reduce work-in-progress, and improve value realization.
  • Influence leaders and delivery organizations to adopt outcome-driven and flow-based delivery practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on delivery challenges, organizational impediments, and transformation opportunities.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders with differing priorities and levels of maturity.
  • Drive sustainable behavioral and process change.
  • Leverage Metrics to Drive Delivery and Business Outcomes: Use delivery data, flow metrics, KPI dashboards, and operational insights to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure improvements result in tangible business outcomes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership audiences.
  • Enable Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate industry trends, emerging delivery models, and AI capabilities to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement across methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Identify systemic opportunities to increase speed, quality, efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Contribute to the future vision of lean delivery excellence across Prudential.
