The Director will work with institute and center leadership, Mount Sinai faculty, institutional communications and development teams, clinical partners, and external stakeholders. The Director will develop communications strategies and messaging; identify opportunities for media coverage, thought leadership, public engagement, and partnerships; lead or contribute to major grants and strategic proposals; create presentations and advancement materials; and partner with Development on donor communications. The position will also establish systems for capturing program achievements and impact, including publications, discoveries, clinical advances, faculty achievements, funding milestones, trainee successes, technology capabilities, partnerships, and patient impact stories. Success will be measured by increased visibility and stronger public narratives for the institutes and Mount Sinai’s related enterprise; high-quality grants, proposals, presentations, and strategic materials; expanded media and thought leadership; stronger donor and partner engagement; and durable infrastructure for communicating scientific and clinical impact.
