About The Position

Global Payments is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of Salesforce platforms that support business growth, colleague productivity, and client success. The role influences technology direction, drives innovation at scale, and empowers globally distributed engineering teams to deliver secure, high-impact solutions for global commerce.

The Director will lead transformational initiatives, develop high-performing teams, and create business value. This includes setting the strategic direction for Salesforce capabilities, shaping enterprise technology and architecture decisions, partnering with business, product, and technology leaders, and optimizing investment, resources, and vendor performance.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience leading and delivering Salesforce solutions in complex enterprise environments, including experience with Agile delivery models.
• 7 or more years of people leadership experience, with a record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Deep expertise across Salesforce technologies and platforms, balancing technical excellence, scalability, and business outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing executive leaders and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead through change, remove obstacles, and create an environment where teams can innovate, grow, and consistently deliver results.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the financial technology (FinTech) or payments industry.
• Salesforce certifications in architecture, development, or platform specializations.
• Proven success leading large-scale platform transformations involving multiple geographies, vendors, and complex stakeholder groups.
