The Director Road Safety Registration & Licensing, reporting to Vice President Insurance & Chief Actuary, plays a key role within the Insurance Division by providing strategic and operational leadership for ICBC's road safety, vehicle registration, licensing policy, and specialty vehicle services portfolios. The role is accountable for developing and executing road safety strategies, overseeing the administration of vehicle registration and licensing programs, shaping policy and regulatory initiatives, and ensuring efficient delivery of specialized registration services. This role leads a multidisciplinary team, partners with government and industry to advance ICBC’s road safety and vehicle licensing and registration goals, drive innovation and change throughout the province as well as provide an active voice in cross jurisdictional forums, maintains our operational excellence, and drives public safety outcomes aligned with ICBC’s corporate strategy. In addition, this leadership role will ensure ICBC is on the leading edge of understanding emerging trends in road safety and continually improves and enhances ICBC’s programs. The role works closely with the provincial and municipal governments and key partners, including national and cross-jurisdictional associations and forums that shape road safety, transportation policy, and motor vehicle administration across Canada.
