This role requires a seasoned ad tech operator with experience in building and scaling operational foundations for revenue generation through data collaboration and extending Fandom's data activation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shipping products, partnerships, or data products that have generated revenue. This is a hands-on, building role with a focus on execution and measurable results.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in revenue strategy, ad products, or commercial partnerships at a digital media, ad tech, or streaming platform.
  • Managed a team for 4+ years, with at least one direct report.
  • Experience taking a first-party data asset from internal capability to an externally monetized product, including ideation, creation, launch, pricing, and deal closure.
  • Subject matter expertise for newly created data-led ad products across ad products, data, commerce, or performance, with a proven go-to-market strategy.
  • Publisher or platform partnership experience, understanding both inventory and data aspects.
  • Comfortable working with complex financial models and managing/presenting regional/functional performance targets to senior leadership.
  • Ability to present and close deals in holding company investment meetings.
  • A desire to build as an individual contributor.
  • Operational orientation at the intersection of strategy and execution.
  • Analytically rigorousness to own financial models.
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a new marketing channel with no existing playbook.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leveraging modern workflow automation tools (e.g., Claude Code, Google Gemini) to streamline commercial operations and accelerate go-to-market speed.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a commercial change agent, inspiring sales and operations teams to adopt innovative revenue models.
  • Hands-on fluency with BI tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Tableau) for independent data analysis and rapid validation of revenue hypotheses.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize the financial architecture for net-new revenue initiatives, including RPU expansion models, assumptions, timelines, and revenue bridges to company targets.
  • Define and track progress against quarterly and annual milestones, being accountable for revenue numbers.
  • Serve as the internal point of view on where incremental revenue comes from and what is required to unlock it.
  • Operationalize the commercial requirements and revenue case for Fandom’s next-generation ad formats, translating market demand, advertiser feedback, and competitive positioning into product priorities.
  • Bring custom offerings to market by defining, packaging, pricing, and sequencing go-to-market strategies for new formats.
  • Serve as commercial lead on initial format pilots and product owner in client conversations, owning the path from first deal to repeatable offering.
  • Provide B2B marketing with commercial inputs for sales narratives, including proof points, pricing rationale, measurement stories, and competitive positioning.
  • Operationalize the external revenue strategy for Fandom’s data assets, including packaging, pricing, and selling intent signals and IP health data.
  • Define deal structures, buyer prioritization, and commercial terms, owning the revenue outcome against partnerships.
  • Translate data signals into premium CPMs and quantify the value of data enrichment in advertiser conversations and pricing.
  • Manage the partner ecosystem to accelerate Fandom’s commercial position through data partnerships, distribution integrations, platform relationships, and IP-owner alliances.
  • Execute a tiered partnership strategy, including core commercial partnerships, innovation partnerships, and market expansion relationships.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities such as licensing and platform integrations to expand Fandom’s revenue surface.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key partnerships across the ecosystem.
  • Translate Fandom’s high-intent fan audience story into buyable products for non-endemic categories.
  • Provide guidance on audience segments and measurement proof points that resonate with buyers.
