The Director of Reporting & Analytics is a key leader within the organization. This person is empowered to advise senior management and other departments on reporting and analytics strategies in support of various business initiatives. The position's essential functions include working with senior executives, Vice Presidents and AVPs across the enterprise to determine reporting and analysis needs, managing functional departments, mentoring, coaching, and providing guidance regarding financial reporting and analysis. This role also involves setting goals and plans for reporting and analysis business units in alignment with the operating plan, budget, and regulatory requirements. The Director will set the direction for reporting design, nomenclature, approach, requirements gathering, end-user communications protocols, release schedules, and change management processes. Additionally, they will set the direction for reporting quality assurance processes to minimize end-user error identification, and establish processes to report score risk areas prospectively in a timely and concise manner. The Director is ultimately responsible for the quality assurance of all reports generated by their staff. They will function as a subject matter expert on finance and analytics topics, capable of teaching financial/technical information, and will escalate gaps in projects to VP and senior management when identified. This role implements strategies to ensure service level benchmarks for report turn-around are met, demonstrating best practices and collaboration on projects.
