About The Position

As the Director, Regulatory Liaison reporting to the Senior Director IT & Cyber Risk Regulatory Matters, Global IT Risk, Director, the Regulatory Liaison is responsible for the strategic direction of the Regulatory Liaison team, building and managing the operating model for regulatory engagements, establishing end to end processes and tools to efficiently manage regulatory requirements including exams, questionnaires, surveys, and other regulatory requests for information (RFI).

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Regulatory, Supervisory examination engagement
  • Strong knowledge of Cyber Risk Management and Cyber/IT regulations for Financial Institutions
  • Strategic skills to develop long-term visions and the ability to translate them into actionable roadmaps that are broadly accepted
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve complex issues
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience within the financial services industry, with experience working in a risk management capacity
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
  • Certification/Membership in a Risk/Control organization such as ISACA, RIMS, CISSP
  • A strategic leader and thinker, able to develop short and long-term plans to execute strategic priorities.
  • Strong organizational awareness, business acumen, and customer orientation

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction, oversight, and quality assurance for the Regulatory RFI Management process
  • Partner with other RBC and T&O departments to reduce overlapping regulatory responses, reporting and ensuring consistent position of Cyber/IT program to all stakeholders (internal/external)
  • Provide consulting services to business partners on new RFIs and regulation/jurisdictional compliance via RFI.
  • Analyze the regulatory environment and work with stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective flow of day-to-day program management reporting with business and service partners.
  • Provide superior client experience and strengthen relationships with all key stakeholders and partners, ensuring optimal delivery by removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance
  • Develop and maintain a global network of external peers in the industry to stay abreast of existing and emerging cyber practices, technologies etc. and their impacts on RBC and other relevant best practices.
