Navigator, IT & Security, Global

Evolution Cloud Services (EVOCS)

About The Position

The Navigator, IT & Security, Global serves as a trusted advisor and discovery catalyst embedded within Vantage’s IT & Security function. This role acts as the critical bridge between business operations and AI possibilities, translating operational friction points into validated opportunities for AI-driven transformation. Rather than managing programs or building solutions, this Navigator discovers, validates, and prepares high-impact AI opportunities for rapid prototyping by the Accelerators team. Operating as an embedded AI business partner, this role focuses on AI-driven transformation within Vantage’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity functions. This Navigator serves as the embedded business partner for IT and Security teams, identifying opportunities where AI can strengthen security posture, optimize IT service delivery, enhance threat detection and response, and improve the technology experience for all Vantage employees while maintaining the rigorous security standards required of a critical infrastructure provider. This position represents the front line of Vantage’s AI transformation within IT & Security, where strategic vision meets operational reality. Success requires equal parts business acumen, technical fluency, and the interpersonal skills to build trust across diverse stakeholders who may be skeptical, curious, or enthusiastic about AI’s potential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years overall work experience, with 3+ years in IT operations, cybersecurity, or technology infrastructure management, preferably within critical infrastructure or data center environments.
  • Strong foundation in IT service management frameworks (ITIL), cybersecurity operations, infrastructure monitoring, and the technology stack supporting enterprise operations.
  • Practical understanding of AI capabilities for cybersecurity and IT including machine learning for threat detection, NLP for ticket classification, predictive analytics for infrastructure management, and automated response orchestration.
  • Familiarity with security platforms (SIEM, SOAR, EDR), IT service management tools (ServiceNow preferred), and infrastructure monitoring platforms that inform data availability for AI solutions.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and industry-specific security standards for critical infrastructure providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technology and security challenges into structured opportunity assessments that balance innovation with risk management.
  • Experience conducting discovery in security-sensitive environments where data classification, access controls, and confidentiality requirements constrain how information is shared and analyzed.
  • Proven capability to build credibility with both strategic IT leaders and hands-on security practitioners, adapting communication across executive and technical audiences.
  • Track record of identifying technology or security improvements that delivered measurable gains in security posture, operational efficiency, or service quality.
  • Comfort with the tension between innovation and security, demonstrating judgment about when AI augmentation enhances versus potentially compromises security operations.
  • Excellent listening skills and genuine curiosity about IT and security operations, combined with discretion regarding sensitive security information.

Nice To Haves

  • Travel required is expected to be 15-25% for stakeholder engagement across IT and Security functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular listening tours within IT & Security to understand evolving threat landscapes, infrastructure challenges, and service delivery improvements that could benefit from AI augmentation.
  • Facilitate workshops that help IT and Security leaders envision AI-powered capabilities beyond basic rule-based automation, exploring behavioral analytics, predictive maintenance, and autonomous response.
  • Document opportunity assessments capturing security impact, technology platform integration requirements, risk classifications, compliance considerations (SOC 2, ISO 27001), and resource implications.
  • Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure all proposed AI solutions strengthen rather than weaken security posture, and align with information security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with IT & Security leaders to develop success criteria focused on security and service KPIs including detection rates, response times, incident volumes, service availability, and user satisfaction.
  • Identify cross-functional synergies, particularly where IT and security capabilities can enhance operational technology in data center environments.
  • Contribute to methodology improvement with insights from security-sensitive environments where AI solutions must meet stringent access controls and audit requirements.
  • Translate AI concepts into IT and cybersecurity terminology, building AI literacy while maintaining appropriate security awareness across technology teams.
  • Support change management by addressing concerns about AI in security decision-making, emphasizing augmented intelligence approaches that amplify analyst capabilities.
  • Track discovery pipeline health within IT & Security, reporting on opportunity conversion and demonstrating value of the intake function.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
