About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Director, Regional Data Governor for North America. This role is accountable for implementing Sodexo's Group Data Management Policy across the region, spanning various data domains such as Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Products, Sites, and Finance Reference Data. The Regional Data Governor will translate group and domain standards into regional practices, embed them into North American systems and processes, and serve as the primary point of regional accountability for governance performance, risk, and escalations. This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates available during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to stand up and operate governance machinery — role register, regional council, issue queue, exceptions log.
  • Hands-on experience embedding governance into the SDLC: design reviews, data-quality acceptance criteria, release gates for classification and steward sign-off.
  • Working knowledge of the tooling governance rides on — glossary, catalog, lineage, quality monitoring, access review.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years Minimum Management Experience
  • 7-10 years Minimum Functional Experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead Program Delivery Across Multiple Use Cases: Manage a portfolio of data and AI use cases, ensuring alignment and efficiency. Validate business sponsorship and readiness. Define and execute a multi-country/multi-segment roadmap. Establish robust governance frameworks. Coordinate execution across use cases to maximize business impact and accelerate time-to-market.
  • Define and Shape the Product Vision: Develop a deep understanding of business context, market dynamics, and operational needs. Partner with business leaders to co-define value and build benefit cases. Translate complex business challenges into structured, actionable use cases. Break down high-level problems into clear, scoped initiatives. Articulate a clear, simple, and scalable product vision with an actionable roadmap. Establish meaningful KPIs to measure product performance and business impact.
  • Own the Product Roadmap & Drive Execution: Own and continuously evolve the product roadmap, aligning with strategic priorities. Translate roadmap priorities into a structured backlog of user stories. Lead and animate cross-functional feature teams. Identify, manage, and resolve risks and blockers. Prepare and deliver updates to stakeholders. Ensure consistent delivery across all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Drive Adoption and Sustain Value: Partner with stakeholders to assess and realize the impact of product deployment. Champion AI literacy by educating business partners. Monitor and manage product costs during the run phase. Engage key partners across IT, Security, business, and data teams. Ensure stakeholder alignment and inclusion in critical decisions to drive long-term adoption and success.
  • Translate Group standards into regional procedures Stewards and Custodians can actually follow.
  • Broker decisions across IT, Domain Governors, and Data Asset Owners without formal authority using charters, RACIs, and escalation paths.
