About The Position

As the Director, Quality Operations, you'll serve as a key leader for marketplace quality across Deckers brands, markets, and product categories. You'll lead corporate quality teams focused on Quality Issue Management, Continuous Quality Improvement, and Reporting/Analytics. Your influence will span Product Creation, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Marketplace teams, all in service of delighting our consumers with quality products. You'll foster a culture of quality, amplifying the voice of the consumer and balancing product excellence with manufacturing efficiencies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field required
  • 10+ years in the footwear/apparel industry for a global company, preferably in athletic/technical performance and lifestyle.
  • 8+ years in a quality-related leadership role within the footwear industry.
  • Proficient in quality audit processes, global compliance, material properties, product construction, and risk management.
  • Skilled in operational decision-making, continuous improvement, and driving for results.
  • Experienced in public speaking and presenting to diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Business or Organization Management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of quality professionals, setting objectives, driving results, and cultivating global stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and strategic goals, aligning operations with functional strategy.
  • Drive global quality data management and analysis, including inbound reporting, issue tracking, and marketplace feedback to inform product improvements.
  • Leverage quality data, reporting, and business intelligence tools to identify trends, drive root-cause analysis, and influence product and process improvements globally.
  • Manage and resolve quality issues across global operations, ensuring process governance and optimization for speed and accuracy.
  • Define and integrate systems and tools across the global quality organization, standardizing inspection environments and evolving performance dashboards.
  • Champion education and training initiatives, sharing knowledge and best practices across teams and functions.
